Youth
Boys are born.
Men are initiated.
Without rites of passage and threshold moments, we end up with the society we see around us today.
Young men searching for belonging in all the wrong places. Looking for guidance from people who have never walked them into manhood themselves.
Mentorship is not a luxury for youth. It is essential.
Boys need proximity to grounded men. Men who can model presence, integrity, accountability and strength in a healthy way. Not through dominance or performance, but through embodiment.
That is why this work brings them close.
Into intentional spaces surrounded by fathers, mentors and seasoned men who can hold them through transition.
Rites of passage create a moment a young person never forgets.
A crossing.
A line between who they were and who they are becoming.
Not a performance. Not a title given to them. Something felt deeply within themselves.
A moment where a boy begins to loosen his attachment to childhood and starts to consciously step toward manhood.
To say, not just intellectually but in his body:
I am no longer a child.
I am becoming a man.
The retreat
Setting Sun.
Three days and two nights in the wild. A ceremonial threshold for young men aged 15 to 19.
In his words
Lion creates a space that feels both safe and challenging. A place where you can reflect honestly, go deep, and navigate whatever comes up with support and guidance. You come out of it more grounded, more connected to yourself, and ultimately a better man on the other side.
